StoryWalls
StoryWalls are for those who want not just art on their walls, but living narratives that guide, inspire, and connect.
Whether placed in a home, a marae, a public venue, or a corporate foyer, StoryWalls carry the same values as StoryTiles: cultural authenticity, sustainable materials, and acoustic warmth. But in their scale and seamlessness, they become immersive — drawing people into a story that surrounds rather than simply adorns.
This larger canvas offers the opportunity to weave super narratives — stories that stretch across time, space, and community. A StoryWall is more than decoration; it is an ambition to transform venues, workplaces, and gathering spaces into environments that speak with ancestral voice and contemporary resonance.
How they work
A StoryWall is created by combining two StoryTiles into one seamless panel, measuring 1.2m x 2.4m. Unlike placing separate tiles side by side (which leaves a visible seam), StoryWalls are produced as a single piece — smooth, continuous, and uninterrupted.
Technically, the designs are digitally extended and aligned so they connect perfectly. The artwork flows across the larger panel, just as stories flow across generations. When installed, the panels fit securely to your wall using concealed fixing systems, ensuring strength and clean lines.
Narratively, this seamless connection allows a deeper cultural story to emerge. Each StoryWall carries a super narrative — a larger telling that cannot be contained in one tile alone. Where StoryTiles are chapters, StoryWalls are whole books: expansive, immersive, and transformative.

examples
To help you imagine the possibilities, we provide imagery examples of StoryTiles configured into StoryWalls below. These visuals show how individual designs connect, flow, and amplify one another, transforming walls into landscapes of story. Whether you’re planning a single piece or a full feature wall, the examples will guide and inspire your choices.
Start by measuring the size of the wall or space you’d like to transform. This will help determine how many StoryWalls you’ll need. From there, you can design the ideal configuration — a StoryWall that not only fits your home or venue, but also carries the narrative that suits your space best.

Measure to order
When you measure your wall and design your StoryWall, you’re really planning how many StoryTiles you’ll need to bring that vision to life.
-
Each StoryTile measures 1.2m x 1.2m.
-
A StoryWall (1.2m x 2.4m) is made from two StoryTiles joined together.
-
Larger walls simply scale up by adding more StoryTiles in sequence.
Once you know the size of your wall, you can calculate how many StoryTiles to order:
-
1.2m x 1.2m space = 1 StoryTile
-
1.2m x 2.4m space = 2 StoryTiles (a StoryWall)
-
2.4m x 2.4m space = 4 StoryTiles
-
3.6m x 2.4m space = 6 StoryTiles, and so on.
When planning your StoryWall, sometimes the measurements of your wall won’t match perfectly with the size of our StoryTiles (1.2m x 1.2m). This can leave a small amount of unused wall space.
To help with this, we offer the Wātea Tile — a blank panel designed to bring balance and flexibility. Wātea means “space” or “openness,” and it plays an important role in both design and story. By including a Wātea Tile, you can:
-
Fill leftover wall space without disrupting the flow of your chosen design.
-
Create a visual pause or moment of calm that allows the main narrative to shine.
-
Add harmony and rhythm to your wall, much like silence gives music its shape.
The Wātea Tile supports the design both practically and culturally, reminding us that space itself carries meaning — a place for reflection, breath, and intergenerational connection.
This way, you’re always ordering StoryTiles, but designing them into larger StoryWalls to suit your space.
