Our Terms are designed to:

  • Ensure compliance with New Zealand law and international e-commerce standards.

  • Protect our website, content, and cultural property from misuse.

  • Clarify rights and responsibilities for both parties in all transactions.

  • Uphold tikanga (doing what we ought to do) and kawa (the right protocols for good relationships) as guiding principles.

2. Use of Website

  • You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its security, or attempt to access areas reserved for administrators.

  • All written, visual, and cultural content on this website is the intellectual and cultural property of [Your Business Name]. Copying, reproducing, or distributing content without prior written consent is prohibited.

3. Cultural Commitments

Our business operates within the principles of tikanga and kawa. This means:

  • We uphold honesty, integrity, and respect in our dealings.

  • Designs and narratives are taonga (treasures), to be engaged with respectfully.

  • Customers and visitors are expected to honour the cultural integrity of our products and not use them in ways that diminish or distort their meaning

4. Product Information

  • StoryTiles are crafted using Autex Cube™ acoustic panels, with specifications provided in line with Autex technical data sheets.

  • Minor variations in colour, fibre, and finish may occur between production runs. These are natural characteristics of the material and do not reduce product performance.

  • We provide product details in good faith; however, we are not responsible for errors caused by third-party data sources (e.g., suppliers).

5. Orders & Lead Times

  • All StoryTiles are made to order. Standard production time is three (3) weeks after confirmed payment.

  • Delivery is additional and varies by location.

  • Installation, if selected, is scheduled by arrangement and usually takes 1–2 working days.

6. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable.

  • Full payment is required before production unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Shipping & Delivery

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery.

  • International customers are responsible for customs duties and import regulations.

8. Installation

  • Installations follow Autex Cube™ guidelines and our cultural protocols of tikanga and kawa.

  • If you choose to self-install, we are not responsible for issues arising from improper installation.

9. Care & Maintenance

  • Tiles should be lightly vacuumed or dusted to prevent buildup.

  • Stains may be cleaned using mild detergent and blotting, avoiding solvents and harsh abrasives.

  • See our Care & Maintenance guide for full details.

10. Warranty

  • StoryTiles carry the Autex Cube™ manufacturer’s guarantee (minimum 10 years against defects).

  • This warranty does not cover misuse, poor installation, or failure to follow care guidelines.

  • Our cultural guarantee: We commit to protecting the integrity of these designs as taonga. Misuse of cultural narratives is considered a breach of kawa.

11. Returns & Refunds

  • As all StoryTiles are made to order, returns are only accepted in cases of manufacturing defect or damage during transit.

  • Claims must be lodged within 7 days of delivery.

  • Refunds or replacements are provided at our discretion.

12. Intellectual & Cultural Property

  • All StoryTile designs are original works with cultural narratives embedded within them.

  • Designs, images, and stories may not be copied, reproduced, or adapted without permission.

  • Cultural narratives remain under the guardianship of our whānau and iwi. We reserve the right to protect them under tikanga and kawa as well as legal frameworks.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
